Daniel Llewelyn-Williams

Daniel Llewelyn-Williams is a MasterChef UK 2026 semi-finalist, chef, presenter, food writer, and award-winning actor whose unique blend of culinary creativity and world-class storytelling has made him one of the most exciting new voices in British food media.

Born and raised in Wales, Daniel trained at LAMDA and spent more than 25 years building an acclaimed career across television, theatre, and film. His acting credits include Torchwood, Midsomer Murders, EastEnders, Vanity Fair, and The Bill, alongside performances with the National Theatre, in the West End, on Broadway, and internationally. He is a Wales Theatre Award-winning actor and the founder of Flying Bridge Theatre, producing acclaimed work across five continents.

Food has been a lifelong passion. Long before appearing on MasterChef UK, Daniel was creating ambitious fine-dining experiences, catering large-scale events, and developing a distinctive style rooted in storytelling, Welsh heritage, and bold flavour combinations. On MasterChef he became known for inventive, narrative-driven dishes that combined technical skill with imagination, earning widespread praise for his originality and creativity as a cook.

Since MasterChef, Daniel has worked professionally as a chef at Steak on Six within the Celtic Collection, progressing from Chef de Partie to Junior Sous Chef, and completed a stage at London's celebrated Fallow restaurant. He is currently completing a Master's degree in Gastronomic Journalism and Communications, further establishing himself as a food writer, broadcaster, and cultural commentator.

Daniel is also the creator of the food and travel platform DanEatzTheWorld and co-founder of Eatz The World, a food media production company developing original content for broadcast, streaming, and digital audiences.

As a presenter, chef, and storyteller, Daniel brings warmth, wit, expertise, and authenticity to every project. Whether cooking, writing, presenting on screen, or exploring food culture and heritage, he combines professional culinary experience with exceptional communication skills, making him a compelling food presenter and one of the UK's most distinctive emerging food personalities.

Dan lives with two lifelong health conditions: spondyloarthropathy and bronchiectasis. The First is an auto imuno deficiency that affects the joints and the second is an incurable lung disease caused by the Spondyloarthropathy. Despite these conditions, Dan finds ways every day to lead a happy life.
