Seren Jones is a multi award-winning journalist, presenter, and documentary producer, specialising in podcasts and factual storytelling. Recognised for her work across BBC, Wondery, Apple, Audible, and Corus, Seren has become one of the leading voices in the UK audio and documentary industry.
Her critically acclaimed podcast series Black and Blue: Behind the Badge earned recognition at the British Podcast Awards in the Best Factual category, cementing her reputation as a powerful and authentic storyteller. Seren’s creative excellence has also been recognised with BAFTA and ARIAS nominations, and she has been named among Radio Academy’s 30 Under 30 and PodPod’s Faces to Watch — accolades that highlight her growing influence in the media world.
Before her success in narrative audio, Seren spent five years at the BBC, working as a multimedia reporter and producer across BBC News, World Service, Radio 4, BBC Wales, and BBC Cymru. She was part of the founding production team behind the BBC’s first flagship daily news podcast Beyond Today, and went on to produce major BBC audio titles including Newscast and Americast, as well as a range of feature documentaries and original investigative series.
Seren is also the co-founder and trustee of the Black Swimming Association (BSA) — an award-winning UK charitydedicated to promoting water safety, equality, and drowning prevention within African, Caribbean, and Asian communities. Her advocacy work has led her to speak on national panels and conferences on race, gender, Welsh affairs, and equality in sport and media.
